Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam yesterday hailed the recognition of the
Trang An complex in Ninh Binh Province as a cultural and natural World
Hertiage, saying it was the first and only site in Southeast Asia to
achieve this double feat.
Fifteen years after it was recognised as a World
Hertiage site by UNESCO, the My Son Sanctuary continues to languish at
the mercy of the elements, and a breakthrough solution to preserve its
structures still eludes authorities.
